Rides for Beginners

route levelsThese rides are designed for people who are new to cycling or who haven't cycled for a while.  Typical daily mileage is 20 to 25 miles on flat-to-rolling terrain.  This means around three hours cycling total and plenty of opportunities to stop in at interesting places along the way.  Typically, we also add in rest days - maybe a chance to do some hiking or kayaking.

Intermediate Routes

route levelsThese routes are ideal people who take regular exercise and are comfortable cycling for an hour or two at a time.  Typical mileage is from 30 to 40 miles on rolling terrain but with some extended climbs.

We also include options to take to the mountains for tougher rides as well as having days when you take it easy.  Often guests will start off gently and build up to longer rides.

Challenge Rides

route levelsThis category is for stronger and more experienced riders.  Many of your days will be spent in the mountains with extended climbing.  By their nature, these routes are more isolated (often with little or no cell phone coverage) so riders need to be both fit and comfortable riding independently.

Often groups will have some members who will enjoy challenge rides while other take it easy in the valley.
