Healdsburg is a prosperous but relaxed
town where you are as likely to meet wealthy Bay
Area escapees as you are to overhear conversations
in Spanish among the groups of migrant workers that
are the primary source of manual labor in the vineyards.
The whole mélange is centered
on the shady central plaza: built in the Spanish style
complete with bandstand. This communal area often hosts
markets, events and musical shows.
You will find most of the restaurants,
bookstores and antiques shops within a block of the
Plaza.
