Willamette Valley Bike Tours
The Willamette Valley produces some of the country’s best wines but gets far less tourist attention than its Californian neighbors. The bicycle touring is great too, with mile after mile of quiet, rural lanes.
As well as the patchwork of vineyards, you’ll ride past hop farms, orchards and the wheat fields of the French Prairie. Your overnight stops are in small Oregon towns with a warm welcome and plenty of character. Other activities include wine tasting and hiking.
The peaceful lanes and rolling terrain of this destination make it great for beginner and intermediate bicycle touring. The gateway city for this trip is Portland, Oregon — America’s most bicycle friendly city.
We operate Self-Guide Bike Trips, Private Cycling Tours and Scheduled Bicycle Tours in this area. To find out more, call us on 1 415 366 3806 or complete the form to the right.

Best Times to Visit
The best months for a biking vacation in the Willamette Valley are from May through September, when the temperatures are pleasantly warm and the risk of rainfall much lower. Spring and fall are still great for bicycle touring vacations, but you need to be prepared for gentle rain and lower temperatures. We do not recommend cycling here in winter.
