Best Times to Visit

The best months for a biking vacation in the Columbia Gorge are from June through September, when the temperatures are pleasantly warm and the risk of rainfall much lower. Spring and fall are still great for bicycle tour vacations, but you need to be prepared for gentle rain and lower temperatures (avoiding the climb over the shoulder of Mount Hood will also keep you drier and warmer). We do not recommend touring here in winter.
