Justin Rutherford, a 2 year guide for LifeCycle Adventures Oregon bike tours, has a colorful and diverse history. When he’s not guiding bike tours in Oregon, Justin does not sit still and wants to try everything that the world can offer so he has wandered and explored more places in his young adulthood than most of us have in our lifetimes! Aside from his cycling trips in the Willamette Valley and Columbia River Gorge, here are some highlights:
1.) Graduated from culinary school in Oklahoma
2.) Graduated from PSU with a degree in liberal studies (which perfectly complements his jack-of-all-trades style)
3.) Bike toured through Central America on a single speed during the summer of 2007, working w/ Save The Children and Habitat For Humanity
4.) Bike toured and harvested at an apple orchard for a season on the coast of Norway
5.) Lived and toured in Thailand and SE Asia in 2008-2009
And these are only a handful of his adventures!
Now that the 2012 Oregon bike touring season has ended, Justin plans to head south for the winter to tour around Mexico on his bike, learning the language and culture. Hopefully he’ll bring back some sunshine when he returns! Safe travels, Justin.
